Calculate the time duration in hours between dates and times. This is perfect for calculating your working hours or any other time period.

How it's Calculated?

This calculator uses a simple method to calculate your time, which is as follows::

  1. Time Unification: It combines the date and time inputs into a single timestamp.
  2. 24 Hour Format: Whichever you choose AM or PM; it uses a 24-hour clock to avoid mistakes.
  3. Duration: It subtracts the initial timestamp from the final timestamp.
  4. Format Conversion: The result is converted into hours and minutes, decimal hours, and total minutes.

FAQs

Simply set the "End Date" to the following day. For example, if you start at 10:00 PM on Monday and finish at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, select Monday for the start date and Tuesday for the end date.
When selecting dates with an interval of several days, the calculator will display the total cumulative hours for that entire period.
Decimal hours is a fraction, such as 8 hours 30 minutes = 8.5 hours. This is the standard format used by most payroll systems to multiply hours worked by hourly pay rates.
