The cost per unit is calculated using the formula:
Cost per Unit = Total Bill ÷ Total Energy Usage
The cost of each room is then calculated as:
Room Cost = Room Energy Usage × Cost per Unit
For example, if the total bill is $100, total energy usage is 500 kWh, and a room consumes 100 kWh, the room's cost would be:
Room Cost = 100 × ($100 ÷ 500) = $20
